Which insurance do you accept?
All three offices accept Medicare, VA (Veterans Affairs), Blue Cross, Blue Shield, Anthem, Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Optum, Humana, Sharp, Kaiser, SCAN and others. We do not accept Medi-Cal. Don't see your plan? Call your office and we'll check your benefits.
Is Medicare accepted?
Yes. Medicare is accepted at all three offices. VA coverage is accepted too. We do not accept Medi-Cal.
What happens at a first visit?
Your first visit begins with a conversation about your history and an exam. X-rays are taken only when clinically needed. Often, a first treatment is part of the visit.
Are X-rays always taken?
No. X-rays are taken only when they are clinically needed.

Do you see children?
Yes. All three offices offer gentle, low-force pediatric care for infants, children and teens.
Do you see pregnant patients?
Yes. All three offices offer prenatal care with supportive positioning and gentle techniques. The Webster Technique is offered at San Diego.

About chiropractic care
What is chiropractic care?
Chiropractic care is hands-on care for muscle, joint, nerve and spine problems. Chiropractors examine how your spine and joints move and use adjustments, soft tissue work and exercise to help them move well and ease pain.
Is chiropractic only for back and neck pain?
Back and neck pain are the most common reasons people come in, but chiropractors also care for problems such as sciatica, headaches that start in the neck, and shoulder, knee, wrist and other joint pain.
What is a subluxation?
Subluxation is the term chiropractors use for a spinal joint that is not moving or lining up as it should. It can follow a slip, a fall, a car accident or everyday strain, and can irritate the muscles and nerves around it.
What is an adjustment?
An adjustment is a quick, controlled movement of a joint by hand or with a small instrument to help it move better. It is usually comfortable. You may hear a pop like cracking your knuckles, which is gas being released from the joint.
Do chiropractors prescribe medication?
No. Chiropractors do not prescribe medication. Chiropractic care can work alongside the care you get from your medical doctor. Do not change any medication without talking to the doctor who prescribed it.
What should I expect the first time I see a chiropractor?
Your first visit is about getting to know your chiropractor: your history, how you feel now and your goals, followed by an exam.
