Erica Nieves , CMT

Erica Nieves began her training in holistic medicine at the Swedish Institute College of Health Sciences in New York City. As a student of massage therapy, she was introduced to the basics of Chinese Medicine. She was fascinated by the system of channels and acupuncture points in the body. This Eastern paradigm particularly resonated with her and led her into a deep study of eastern massage modalities such as Shiatsu, Tuina and Thai massage. 

Erica studied Chinese Medicine at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, California and ultimately graduated from the Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 2012. She then practiced and taught massage and acupuncture in Fort Lauderdale for 10 years. 

Erica has now returned to California where she is a licensed massage therapist and candidate for a license in acupuncture. Erica teaches Eastern modalities and works as a clinical supervisor at ICOHS. She treats patients using manual therapy specializing in pain management, women’s health, digestion, insomnia and emotional issues.
